The AP was purchased to provide an alternative to living at the Randolph Inn during the long PIT course and is ideal in terms of location and luxury. It's less than ten minutes from Randolph AFB and a mere three minute walk to Borders Bookstore, Starbucks and the amazing convenience of the Forum shopping center with multiple restaraunts and stores. The AP is all about first tier features because to allow you to spend more time studying and relaxing.
Staying at the AP costs the same as staying at the Randolph Inn except you get a great deal more for Sam's dollar especially if you take advantage of the included professional chef and Concierge Service discussed below. If you stay at the AP instead of the Randolph Inn you will be reimbursed for your TDY just as if you had stayed on base but you'll enjoy the experience much more. You don't have to pay for any utilities...it's all included and they're plentiful.

The AP is located in the upscale Universal City neighborhood of Olympia Hills. The neighborhood is one of the oldest and nicest in the area and has more trees and vegation than newer areas. Click here to watch a video showing the neighborhood. See another video here. The house is right behind the Forum Shopping Center (but shielded from view and noise by trees). Some of the highlights of the AP location include:
The AP is secluded and quiet in a woody neighborhood bordering the exceptional convenience of the Forum through a private gate. The house is a is a four bedroom, two story residence with 2.5 bathrooms and a two car garage. It has a sizeable fenced in backyard that hosts a small outdoor pond with fish, two turtles, and a small garden (under construction). There is a screened in back patio with bricked in grill, table and chairs, and a hot tub. The landscaping includes shrubbery and several large shade providing trees. A landscaping service takes care of the yard. All floors are carpeted with the exception of the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms which host an ornate tile. The house includes a small wet bar near the living room and a 2007 model four person hot tub in the back patio area (serviced by our property manager).
We have pulled out all the stops for Premium Residents to ensure personal queep and food prep doesn't take away from your time dedicated to studying. The Premium Package is covered by the government rate for those with a non-A slip from billeting and includes service from a professional chef who will take orders, purchase the ingredients fresh, and prepare and store dinner at the AP for each week night. Sarah has several menus already available, has a pin code for entry into the house so she doesn't require coordination, and will leave after cleaning up the kitchen and storing the food with reheating instructions. The food is included in the Premium Package. Weekend dinners, on site cooking lessons, and lunch (deli style salads... tuna fish, chicken salad, etc) can be purchased extra by residents.
If the AP has two or more Premium Residents, a Concierge Service is included for them (each tenant enjoys up to 33 hours of concierge service each month). Residents are provided a phone number and email to our concierge and can task them to pretty much do anything needed...getting cars cleaned or fixed, shopping tasks, postal forwarding tasks, house hunting research at a next base, or whatever is needed. They require only 24 hours notice so tasking them for a week in advance is a good way to go. They have a pin code for entry to the AP so there is no need to coordinate. Purchases for shopping tasks must be paid for by the resident.
How difficult is it to get a non-A slip? Not difficult at this time. Contact the Randolph Inn at (210) 652-1844 or email to randolph.inn@randolph.af.mil and let them know your dates and your desire to live off base with a non-A. You can be informed of your non-A status prior to arriving to Randolph. Several AP residents are renting under the Premium Package.

The AP has been packed with toys and tools to make it convenient for work and play. The front door has a pin pad and you will be issued a four digit pin code. Instead of needing a key, you can plug in your code to enter the house. The entire house is blanketed with a Wireless N network and high speed internet access (up to 5mps) and allows for wireless printing, scanning, and faxing from the study or the upstairs master bedroom. If you don't have a wireless card you can plug into the ethernet jack in the bedroom and get the same features. In addition, an ethernet network exists throughout the house and ties into the two house Xbox 360s. The Xbox, Playstation 3, and Wii come with several games.
Full weekly maid service is provided (they do your laundry, wash and put away dishes, etc) and all utilities are included (local phone only). Pets are not allowed inside the house and are only allowed to stay in the garage/yard with prior approval on a case by case basis. Under no circumstance are they allowed inside the house. No smoking in the house.
Residents are not locked into the lease and can leave immediately at any time after notifying the house owner. The reason there is no lease is because once you've seen the house you won't want to leave. It's simply that good.
